Shepard Park History

In December 2007, the Town of Normal accepted 14 acres of land from the Shepard family as a result of a 2000 annexation. A final plat for the park was created in January 2008. Shepard Park was dedicated on Oct. 8, 2011 in honor of the Shepard family with a ribbon cutting ceremony making it the newest park within the Town of Normal. Since then, the park has been further developed to provide amenities such as ball diamonds, pavilion restrooms, playgrounds and a dog park.

Located at: 705 Hershey Rd.
