Registration Information

Interested in registering for a Normal Parks and Recreation program? All registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis (exception: summer activities have separate dates for residents/non-residents) and all classes have limited enrollment. Registration dates vary!

The Normal Parks and Recreation Department intends to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination in the provision of services, programs or facilities to individuals with disabilities. Registering for a program is easy!

Here is some additional information regarding our program registration:

CREDIT CARDS

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover for payment of services and programs.

FEES

All fees are payable at the time of registration. Checks should be made payable to: Town of Normal. A $25 fee is assessed for returned checks.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be received at least three (3) business days prior to the start of the program to receive a household credit. Exceptions to this policy may apply for family relocation or medical emergency. Written documentation from a physician may be requested. If a refund check is required, a $5 processing fee will be assessed. Refunds or household account credit will not be given for contractual programs or trips for which the Department has incurred costs. 

We do reserve the right to cancel classes or programs. If insufficient enrollment causes an activity to be cancelled, participants will receive a full refund. Please allow two (2)  weeks for the processing of refunds.

CODE OF CONDUCT

To ensure safe and enjoyable programs and facilities for all residents, the Town of Normal Parks and Recreation Department has developed the following Code of Conduct when participating in programs and using facilities:

  1. Show respect to all participants, staff, equipment and facilities.
  2. Refrain from using offensive or profane language.
  3. Refrain from aggressive behavior that could cause bodily harm.

The Town reserves the right to dismiss an individual if their behavior or language is deemed inappropriate by staff. Normal Parks and Recreation applies a positive and constructive approach to behavior, yet reserves the right to dismiss an individual whose behavior endangers the safety of others, or damage to property or equipment.
