Business Licenses
All businesses in Normal must be licensed with the Town Clerk.
There is no fee for this license.
Licenses are valid January 1 - December 31 and are renewed yearly by January 10.
Licenses will be issued once the application is submitted, and all taxes and debts owed to the Town of Normal are paid.
You are required to keep the Clerk's Office informed of changes in your business. This is vital to the Police and Fire Departments' responses in the event of an emergency.
Please note, as there may be other regulations required of your business, having a Town license does not supersede or negate any other requirements that may be in place for your business. Please review this multi-level compliance and resource sheet.
In order to apply for a regular business license, please fill out the electronic form below. Applications are reviewed on Monday's and Wednesday, please wait for the next business Monday or Wednesday to receive a confirmation email. Our office is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm.

Please note, it is the applicant's responsibility to contact the inspections office to notify them of your application. Instructions are included within the form. The Ordinance includes fines of $5 -$200 for violations of the Business License Ordinance.
